Tunze 9010 Skimmer

Hi Roger
My Tunze 9010 skimmer has started making a knocking noise and lots of micro bubbles again. Do you have any suggestions to solve this?

Is it a 9010.040 pump or was the pump later replaced with a 9011.040 pump? Is it being used in sump or in tank?

It's still has the 9010.040 pump, and its mounted it my tank.
I have a 90 gal Fluval Osaka aquarium sumpless. I'm a real Tunze fan.
Run the 9010 skimmer, a Comline Filter 3166.50, a Comline Bio-Hydro-Reactor 3179, a 3155 Osmolator and just bought a Calcium Automat 3170 with a Osmolator calcium Dispenser.

OK, I suspect your drive unit is breaking down so it is jamming, a new 3000.600 is likely what would fix the knocking noise. As far as the bubbles, if nothing has changed relative to current near the skimmer or additives, the drive unit is probably a worthwhile place to start as it could be surging so it slips and catches.
