Interesting, that even after I turn off the Blue Air valve completely, the microbubbles keep coming with big flow.
Top or bottom? If it's the top that's not a big deal.. Does the blue air screw wiggle any?
hmmm dont know if I understand you correctly -to change the position of motor block isnt possible because there is only way to put in the motor block.
If you take the clips off of the side of the pump where it holds the face plate to the motor block. The face plate will slide around if you twist it.

I would hold off for the time being. I know it's frustrating to see bubbles everywhere. But it could be something very simple that I've overlooked. Have you done any water changes in the past 2 weeks after installation of the skimmer? Some of the bubble's can be associated with changing the tension of the water. additive's, hands in the water. Perhaps just give the skimmer 24-48 hours to adjust itself with the water and well go from there.
