Tunze 9410 Overfoam Problem

Hi,

I am so happy with this skimmer. I wouldnt imagine this kind of skimming at first but it is totally worth the Money . But I have a minor problem. Dirty Foam is not going where it is supposed to. It is escaping from little holes from the cover of collecting cup. Even though collecting cup isnot full. it is acting as if shaving foam . And when I put my hand on those holes I feel very strong air flow. What can I do?

This has a very simple fix. Take a paper towel or q tip and dip it in a very little vegetable oil, then smear this in the ring around the lid that has the slots, when the foam touches the oil it will pop and fall in the cup and won't escape. You only need a very thin layer. This also generally only happens when the skimmer is breaking in and will stop in time.
