Tunze Aquarium Dosing Pump/System

I just bought this unit and for some reason the high alert valve won't come on even though i can go and push it and it will

I have noticed that the holding piece for the "High water alert" is bumping up against the holder so when the water level gets a certain height it won't sound off. Anyone else have this issue?

I have siliconed the unit to the side of my sump which is glass

Do you possibly have it upside down?.... the holder should be at the bottom


EDIT. - i think I misread and you are saying the float is rubbing on the holder and will not fully go up to trip the sensor unless you pull it up?

I put some pics for you in that other thread. Make sure you read a the way at the bottom. Never mind here:
There is a small piece on the bottom of the white sensor that only snaps in place one way. If you force it, then you may not be level and cause it to rub also.

The usual cause would be that the plate 3150.31 is installed upside down in the 3155.10 holder, this will cause it to angle in instead of out.

Should he be worried that his water level even got that high? Mine has never gone over the black sensor. Once water hits it the pump shuts off. Something wrong there too???

i will post a pic tonight of how i have it setup compared to what Grace's dad has provided me i think i may have it setup the wrong way
