Roger or anyone experienced with these:

Can I use my existing Milwaukee ph controller with this Tunze Calcium Reactor?

If so, where/how does the probe insert into the reactor chamber to monitor the ph of the effluent and thus control my CO2 solenoid, or is this not the way it is designed?

Any explanation would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to picking up one of these and would love to be able to use the ph controller I already own.

Thanks,
Joe

On our reactor the set up is done my measuring the pH of the aquarium itself. Generally you set the pH to between 8.10 and 8.20 and the CO2 turns on when the pH rises above the set point. When used in conjunction with kalkwasser dosing a very stable pH can be achieved. The main problem I see with using the Milwaukee unit is it does not measure to the 100ths place so you could only set 8.1 or 8.2 which is a pretty large deviation.

i think it'll work well regardless. i do have a calcium dispenser that you helped me out with the check valve. thanks for that by the way

i can set my controller to 8.2 so that the ph will not (theoretically) drop below 8.15; taking into consideration the rounding the device makes to display ph.

thanks again for your help!
