Tunze DOC 9010 Skimmer not right

My skimmer quit pumping water up the pipe for the water leaving the skimmer. The water is still exiting the back of the skimmer, and it is rising in the pipe but it just doesn't have what it takes to overflow. I added so zip ties to the bottom to make sure it was connected tightly, as the pipe kept falling off, and even with a solid connection it still won't flow properly. The skimmer is about 8 months old and I purchased it from Marine Depot.

Can you help me again? as you did great with my tunze recirculating pumps.

It sounds like the pipe is just inserted too far into the skimmer. Try taking the pipe out of the elbow and inserting it in the other end of the elbow. The elbow is marginally thicker on one end due to the small casting marks of the brand and size and it should then fit more snug.
