Tunze Lawsuit?

I Want to see testing done on all pumps.

I'd like to see more testing on all pumps as well, not just taking this one single test as the only thing that matters. Roger has pointed out many good points on why Tunzes numbers may have been off, but most every person that seems so passionate about slamming Tunze seems to give any thought to what they are saying.

fact that they decided to not make it public when they made the housing for 6105 smaller

The housing for the 6105 has remained the same size since its introduction. I have owned several of them, including the very first ones on the market.

and reduced the noise by lowering V and therefore flow

They reduced the voltage, but at the very same time increased the size of the propeller.....which....wait for it....increased the flow!

as rogers said, the bag test and theoratical ...was done with old housing and V, and then after, they decided to make it smaller and less noisy ... :)

Im sure the bag test was performed when they were working around the noise issue by lowering the voltage and increasing the prop size. The bag test, while not the best accuracy, definitely can be very accurate. You are measuring into a bag the water that the pump spits out in a certain amount of time, then calculating GPH on that. Sure there are limits to it, but I don't require GPH to be ultra precise. What I do expect is pumps that perfrom well and reliabley.

I have had BOTH the Tunze 6105 ( with the stock cover as well as teh 6205 cover) in my tank, side by side. With the stock cover on, the Tunze kicks the crap out of the Vortech- not even close- as far as moving the tank water and dislodging detritus from everywhere inside the tank. With the 6205 covers, the flow was very similar to the Votech width, but moved farther into the tank and moved more. I think this whole bash fest against Tunze based solely on one single test conducted at its main competitors facility with equipment donated by them is one of the most ridiculous things I have seen. People have thrown out basic logic in interepreting the results of the test and thrown out the possibility that this test could have not measured the flow produced by Tunzes in an accurate way. Tunze produces a video trying to expalin some of this, and gets slammed for that. What a joke.

if I buy a Ferrari, and am told it has 300 HP, I have no way of testing it, I AM AN END USER ! but if dogde decides to test it and find out it has only 200HP, Id be very mad for being lied to.

Now if dodge used a test or dyno pull that did not accurately measure the ferraris performance, would you condemn the ferrari based on that one single test done by a competitor?

as I stated earlier, what impressed me, was the point that tunze, could fit such high flow in such 1. small housing, 2. low V and 3. no noise ! but if now noise is increasing, V is incresing, and housing is made bigger, tunze is not dfoing anything special ! koralia could do it too !

The noise is increasing a whopping 2 dB. Wow, get those earplugs ready!! Seems like some will never be happy. If you are bothered by the 2 dB increase in noise from the 6105, the MP40 will drive you insane.

There is standardized testing for horse power on a vehicle. There is not for water flow in the way we use it. So how can you trust EcoTech over Tunze or vice versa until there's quantifiable proof one or the other is wrong?

How dare you throw logic into this!

It is sad watching the reaction of these people over one test. Now Tunze boosts the flow- and they are still not happy. You can't win with some people.
