Tunze LEDs - timer switch?

I've been interested in the Tunze LEDs for a while now but have been waiting for the controller.....
But I'm now getting to the point where I can't wait much longer and need to buy something. So my question is are the Tunze 8850 LEDs (and the reef blue version) OK to plug into a timer switch? So the timer will basically power them on/off according to my schedule. I'm worried continued switching on/off is going to damage them.

It will not damage them and the controller should finally be ready in Mar/Apr. It will be WiFi instead of Bluetooth.
