Did you get the Euro sized prop assembly (including the magnet and the shaft) or just the plastic prop?

If it's just the plastic prop then I'm thinking the shaft may be shorter on the euro sized one and then it would work.

I have ordred the whole prop assembly including the magnet shaft and prop.
Should I cancel the order?

Yes if you still can. I only popped out the props so it was easier to shoot the picture. They have the same magnet assembly. Sorry for the bad news Skydancer.

6055s are coming!

6055s are coming!

Just learned from Roger the first batch of 6055s are in his hands. We should see 6055s sightings in about a week.

The 6055 has the same front housing as a 6045, therefore flow increase should be in line with 6045 with the standard and full blast mods.

The improvement for a 6045 was 36% if I remember correctly, then my guess the 6055 should be able to pump out close to 2,000gph at its max speed after the mods. The good thing is the 6055 does not need a stopper, it is a DC pump and will always start in right spin. Another good one is the prop speed can be adjusted down if the max flow is too much for a small tank.

A 6055 with a single controller is a little over $260, at a near 2,000 top flow rate, not a bad deal compared to the other DC pump options.

Who are the first to pre-order 6055s?

I showed one of my 6025's to my favorite also the biggest LFS (Exotic Aquarium) in town, they immediately called Roger to order but was told due to limited production only the biggest dealers can order at that time, that was for 6025's and 6045's, not even talking about 6055's yet.

got email from phishy. they say they have ups delay.i think they are full of sh-t. we will see.

I just ordered from Phishy as well, it said in stock so hopefully its true. Marinedepot said they wont receive until mid May as of my phone call 5 minutes ago. When I called a few weeks ago they said mid April

I know that if you mod a 6025 you get a huge increase in flow, but if you mod a 6045, do you get a huge increase as well? Its rated for close to 1200gph, but would modding it push it towards 1500? The reason I ask is because I don't want to mod it and have it push an extra 50-100gph, I want a bigger pay off.

you can mod a 6045 but they put out the exact same GPH as a 6025 with the same mods

The stock 6045's pumping rate is 930gph, less than the Tunze claimed 1,189gph, so yes you will notice a significant increase, just not as much an increase as a 6025 mod.
