Tunze Osmolator 3155 and top off placement

Hey guys,

I have a 5g top off tank I want to add to my system using a Tunze Osmolator 3155 and a Tunze Kalk Reactor. My problem is, due to sever space limitations, I can only fir the tank into my enclosure if I rest it on top of on side of my sump. Am I asking for major trouble and heartache if the top off tank is above the sump?

I would run the output of the Osmolator to the main tank, keeping all the sensors in the sump. That way you won't have siphon issues.

As JCVT said, that is what we recommend in the manual, the amount dosed at any one time is miniscule so it is not an issue especially with good circulation.
