Tunze Osmolator and Tunze Kalk Reactor Help Needed

Hi folks,

I could use some help. I have the Tunze Osmolator 3155 along with the Tunze 5074 Calcium Dispenser. My question is, can this be setup to simply drip Kalk 7/24? The way it runs now, when enough water has evaporated, the 3155 kicks in and tops off the sump, dosing Kalk at the same time. I get a nice even rise to a ph of 8.2 and then a slow drop over the course of 8-12 hours back down to around 8.00.

I'd like to figure out a way to have kalk slowly drip all day long to keep the ph up. Any advice?

Thanks!

The pH fluctuates naturally in the oceans as well, I don't see that as a big issue, that is a good range. It isn't possible to change the way it works, from my experience adding a calcium reactor will slowly stabilize the pH changes to a tighter range but that really is pretty good.

Wouldn't the osmolator kick in more often if the sump was baffled to create a smaller reservoir for the osmolator? The water level should drop more quickly and the osmolator would dose more often to keep the PH more stable.
