Tunze osmolator pump pull distance

I'm looking to replace my annoying top off switches with a tunze osmolator and had a quick question.
Can the pump that's included with the system capable of pulling fresh ro/di water from a brute trash can that's about 15' away and elevated about 3'?

Do you mean the tank will be 3ft above the trash can or the trash can will be 3ft above the tank? If the tank is above the trash can it will work, otherwise you will get a siphon after the pump shuts off. This set up is not ideal for a few reasons. First, the reservoir size is the 4th and final safety, ideally it only holds 1 weeks worth of top off, a big reservoir poses more risk. The longer hose run can make it more difficult for the pump to prime if it runs dry or on first start up as it has to purge so much air. You would also need additional hose and to add wiring and this creates issues with splices and the pump may not start if a splice is bad and the current draw excedes the limit of 1200mA as a result. The stock hose length is 9ft and the stock wire is about the same length.
