I have been using the Osmolator for 4 years now attached to a locally built kalkwasser reactor. In the 4 years of operation, I have to replace twice my locally built kalkwasser reactor due to the stirrer parts malfunctioning. However, I have purchase a TLF KW300 kalkwasser reactor but this reactor needs a pump of 1200lt/hr for it to operate. Will the Osmolator unit be able to still operate if I replace the stock Osmolator pump with, let say, a Eheim 1250? I might splice the wire on the Eheim 1250 and place it at the wire connecting to the Osmolator unit where the Osmolator stock pump wire is attached. Eheim 1250 consume 28w of electricity.

The basic problem is the osmolator only uses 9-12V and puts out 9-12V DC to a pump so there is no way it can run a 115V pump as is. You would need the 3150.110 switched socket to accomplish this, it uses the low voltage signal to open a relay and run a 115V pump, no cutting or modification would be needed the socket replaces the osmo pump and uses the same connector. It can run any pump up to 150W. Bulk Reef Supply stocks these sockets.
