tunze placement for ~240G with Sugar size sand

I have two 6100 with a 7095 controller.
The tank size is 92"x27"x24" (LXDxH) with center overflow and 1" sugar size sand.

Currently, there are so many little white dots flying around. So, I guess they are the sand.

What is the best placement for my tank?

you might need to slow down the flow to like 30-40%max . and your sand needs to redesign itself to the changing flow pattern

If its new sand it will take a will to set up, reduce flow till sand establishes. When the critters get set up it will be less likely to blow around as much.

yeah, it is a new tank. I set it from 30% to 30% on the controller. So, basically it is running at 30% now. How long does it usually take to have sand settle down on a new tank?

Thanks

Depends on the critters on your rock, what and how much you feed. When you start seeing life in your sand it will hold together better also the settling by that time helps and play with the direction of the flow. I have the sugar grain in a 110 with 2X 6000 and interval 2, 30-100% 6 second pulse, works great.
