I have two Tunze 6200s and a Tunze 6000 that need repair. I just spent a good amount of money for these goodies. The tank was purchased in May, So I believe I got the pumps in late June or July. Can someone contact me quickly? I have a tank full of corals and clams I am worried about.

Perhaps you can say whats wrong? Is the alarm going off? Have you tried cleaning the pumps? Have you pulled them apart to see if anything is broken?

alarm went off and then they quit. I tried to find noise, I got shocked, and unplugged them. Then they did not work.

Did the pump overheated? Have you take the pump apart try to clean them? May be snail or snall fish getting inside. I got my purple velvet stuck in 6200 before.

No, I do need a rep soon. I am in panic mode. I have tried to contact them since Thursday..
I have three torts, turaki, esquisida, pulchra, tenius, several millis, blue prostrata, etc...I have more corals than I ever had.
I have the corals I always wanted(except PM) with several clams, now I am worried about them not getting food (flow). I am afraid to buy, but I may be force to go with something else. I put one Maxi jet Mod in there and I have one tunze working ( 6000).

I think MACNA is this weekend so that might be why you are having trouble getting in touch with someone. They don't have a huge staff ya know?

Know anyone local you can borrow a few powerheads or seios from until you get this worked out?

Thanks for the heads on Reps. I forgot about MACNA. Here I am being into Hobby by traveling to as many club meetings as I can and I forgot bout MACNA... I am considering building as many Maxi Jet Mods to keep water flowing until these are repaired.

Wanting to Thank Anthony C from Reef Exotics. He is very supportive, good personality(calm, collective), He is mailing me some parts until I can hear back from Tunze..Again, Reef Exotics is Awesome.
Anthony, you rock!

Ed, very sorry, I just got back from MACNA yesterday. Have you opened the pumps to check that they are clean? I am not sure what could cause a shock as they are 24V which while percepitble is not very strong. Anyway, if you feel that you cannot find the cause send them to me and include all your contact info, a printout of this thread helps greatly. We turn things around within 48hrs of reciept in general.
