I recently setup a 65BB, Mainly SPS. Currently I'm using (3) MJ Mod 1200's for flow. Going BB I literally have water movement everywhere.

I love the mods, but am looking for something that's more controllable. I have been looking at the (2) 6100's with the multicontroller. Are 6100's too big? Should I go with 6000's?

Where is the best place to get this equipment?

I think 1 6000 is probably all you need.

I'm really worried about using only 1 unit. I have the BB so I really want to make sure I have adequate flow.

Also, I've heard about replacing the stock shroud with one from a 6200 to achieve a wider flow pattern. Does this actually work?

It does work, on a 3ft 65 I think 2 pumps is a bit much. It is your call but I might suggest buying one pump and no controller and seeing the results before you jump in for another pump. Then you can decide on whether to get a single or multicontroller.
