Tunze Stream control?

I think this controller will be similar to the lunar controller they have come out with, connects through the phone cord like Curt has mentioned. This should be a great add-on. I was very pleased with the dimmable lunar module and Im sure the tunze controller will not dissapoint! Would like to get a ETA, best guess would say this fall... am I close? ;)

Hi Curt,

Sorry to be impatient, but could you please give us even a rough idea on when the controller may be available? Some of us have been waiting for a few months now, postponing the purchase of Tunze's multicontroller. I am personally about to give up and go the multicontroller route. Of course, it would be great to hear about the specs / price too! Thanks.

Beta testing is in progress, and we are starting the production ramp. We will be shipping AquaSurf this summer. The features include:
- 4 independent channels
- Independent variable speed control on all channels
- Extremely flexible control.
- resonate mode used to generate waves (wave box not required).
- Enhanced AquaController programming language
- Superset of functionality of 7095 controller.
- Mode of operation can be changed throughout the day.
- Periodic pulse mode to keep fish out of the stream pump.
- Suggested retail price of $174.95.
- Works w/ AC3, AC3Pro, and ACJr

ummmm, that sounds very nice! It figure it goes without saying that this only works on DC variable motors like the 6055, 6100 etc? It would probably (?) have independent AC power, not be plugged into a DC strip, yet be controlled via daisychain?

Yes, it will work with any 7095 compatible stream. It connects to the AquaController through the telephone cord control interface just like direct connect boxes, and is powered from the streams themselves. We'll have them at Macna.

Crap... sounds like it won't work with the Koralias... :(

Now I have to spend yet MORE money on my wretched tank to get some Tunzes!

I think it may be worth it, though. Sounds like you guys have really done a great job with this wave controller! Not to mention its not like Tunzes are bad power heads... hehe.

Hi curt
Would the resonance mode for wavemaking replace the controller that the waveboxes connect to? I am in the process of building a tank with built in waveboxes and will use this module off the neptune if possible!

Very nice! Exactly what I've been waiting for. The price seems reasonable too. Thanks for the update, Curt.

Curt, can you comment on the "enchanced programming language" comment?
Willl you include the "if timerX and/or timerY then" statement?

Nope, it won't contain And/Or statements. The exact syntax of the new commands will be revealed when the unit ships. I'm not going the give the competition a head start on how we implement the AquaSurf functionality.

Curt

Retail pre-orders will be shipped first, and then orders to our resellers. The schedule has not changed in the last 4 days. :-)
