I have had the osmolator for about 8 months, recently the sensor hasn't been working up to par. It does not always turn on when the water level drops. I tried cleaning it. Do these thing wear out, do you have any ideas?

Thanks

Soak it in vinegar. This is the first possibility, it just has a mineral film. They don't "wear out", but I have seen them fail do to manufacturing defects but it is rare. The optic sensor can be replaced if this is the case. It may also be that the pump is dying unless by not turn on you mean the lights don't change either.

Soaked the sensor in vinegar last night seems to be working better. I will let you know if it acts up again. Thanks again for the help Roger.
