Ture perc making a clicking noise

Why would my female be making a clicking noise before I shut the lights off... Its the first time I've had a chance to hear it. She is also fanning the gravel alot recently to.

The female true perc is about 4in... I was watching her fan the gravel and then she looked like she was about to throwup and then made a clicking/croaking noise.

I've heard of Skunks (clowns) doing it but have never heard of until now a True Perc doing it. That is pretty sweet!

my pink skunk does it when shes protecting her nem.

looks like shes snapping her jaws together really fast.

Hi Gary. All of mine also do this. Most of the clicking and grunting seem to come from pairs, instead of singles. However, I have heard my single clowns in their own tanks also make interesting noises.

wait...is it a noise like someone snapping their fingers? I have a false perc and have been hearing a noise like that for a year and a half...thought for a long time maybe I had a mantis shrimp but if so he is a vegetarian...never thought it might be the clown
