Twiggy B's 225g build

I'm putting a few of these in my 470 gallon tank. Not recommended for folks with tanks less than 300 gallons though.

Everything looks great twiggy. Are you getting your sps local or do you order much online?

Through the cdp, the frag swap and some of the lfs. The corner reef has a great selection of sps right now, I picked up a few sweet pieces from there recently. The only coral I've ordered, that's still alive anyway, is a dfs apples and oranges acan and the magnifica with the purple foot, green tentacles and white tips. The acans are doing pretty good in the 29.

awesome pictures. im jealous of the color on the sanddollar monti.
mines a sort of pale pink =/

Mine used to be sandy brown with bright red polyps, but that was probably due to the 2.83 phosphates :lmao: with the 400w 20k radiums, the color really comes out nicely.

Corner Reef is the only store I haven't made the drive to yet. Sounds like it's worth the trip.

It's not that far at all, 10 mins from gateway aquatics. Take 255 towards Illinois and take 3 south. Couple more turns and you're there.

It's closer than I thought. Bout 30-35 minutes. I'll check them out this weekend. Do they have a pretty good selection of decently sized and priced frags?

Oh yeah, good prices, nice selection IMO. I'm bit big on softies or lps as much, but they have some nice things in that department as well. When my 2.5 goes online I'll be putting some things like that in there.

I just swapped from a 14k to a 20k bulb on my 400's so well see if that does the trick. Hope it ends up as pretty as yours!

More pics cause I can :strooper:
