Two clown fish pairs in one tank.

Hi, I have a 180 gallon mixed reef tank with an already established clownfish pair. I'd like to get a pair of clarkiis to host my anemone or a separate part of the tank since I find them to be really cool looking fish. Is this at all possible? Here is a pic of my set up if that helps determine if this can be done. Thanks

This is probably one of the most common questions asked on this particular forum. The short answer is "no" as danimallaminad said, the long answer is that it may be possible as long as you know what you're doing (type of anemone, type of clowns, etc.) so in that respect, most people agree if you're asking the question, you'll have difficulty doing it successfully.

He'll do it regardless what everyone advises him. Clarkii can be pretty aggressive.

Hopefully he won't do it or try it. Clarkii are one of the most aggressive clownfish. I would not try two pairs even in a very large tank.

I bred clown fish for a while. Multiple types and have experience with this. As you can imagine people want to add multiple different types into 1 tank. If you want more than 1 pair the only good way to do this is introduce them all at the same time and clowns that are unpaired. It is unlikely they would accept an additional pair at this time. They would likely fight until 1 or 2 fish were killed. This is especially true with Clarki and Maroon. In fact the Clarki's may win and kill your current pair.
