Two different color monti caps growing together how common? Pics

I will try and get some better pics in the next week or two. I have been so busy with a full time job, starting a business, trying to update my web site and all the things that life brings. I don't even have time to play around and experiment with the grafted frags

I just noticed the other day how may hits this thread is getting, a lot more hits then I thought, so I will try and post some pics soon. Here is one thats not so great older pic of one of the frags, color is a little bleached on this one.

Awesome thread man, Sorry that I just found it now. I have just recently tried this with a piece of orange, purple, and purple rim. Under Actinics it resembles Red White and Blue. I thought that it would be neat but now I think I will try another larger piece.

I'm loving the experiment and the follow up pics...

I've always been afraid of having my caps close to one another because they always grow so fast, but now I know that it adds an interesting twist to the growth of these corals. Thanks for sharing the progress with us!

I have a green and an orange starting to grow together, but so far, I have noticed the green to be growing over the orange, not into it.

LFS had a pizza wheel wiht red, green and purple caps. They put about 10 together but only one made it. They sold it for a ludacris amount.

some of those large caps are impressive.
i just put a frag of seasons greetings and a frag of reeftek starburst on two rocks about 8-10" apart . someday they might look like that! it's gonna be a while....
