I have two male Bluethroat Triggers in a 420 gal reef. I bought them as a male and female but the female changed to a male. They have been getting along fine for the past two years. I was wondering if I could add two females or would that start a war?

I once had a pair that I loved. Always together, they would breed occasionally in the tank and were my favorite fish. When the female died, the males color darkened to almost black, and he would not come out of the rockwork. He lasted about 6 months and then also died.

I add a pair male and female to my DT after been in QT. The male died when I came back from 10 days vacation. Can I add a new male without problem? ( the female been in DT about 3 months now)
