hey, real quick question about epoxy...i've started a thread about this in the reef discussion forum, i got one response that one person had used it...i tried the SPS forum, and they suggested trying the chemistry forum...

anyway, i'm curious if anybody's used PC11 marine grade epoxy? i've always used aquamend but HD was out of it. i would assume it's pretty much the same stuff...

here's the ingredients:

Modified Polyamine Hardener
Diisodecyl Phthalate
Magnesium Silicate
Aluminum Silicate

problem is...i don't know what aquamend's ingredients are, and i can't find them online...so i want to make sure this stuff is safe. any experience with this epoxy?

Sound like the two part stull like the kind Two Little Fishes make. I have used the Home Depot Stuff before with no issue. But the AquaScape epoxy is in to seperate rolls that you mix together, stays pliable in and out of water for about 30 mins. It is like working with bubble gum, not crumbly at all.

It seems that all the sites that carry it are in the UK or Germany. However, here's a site that carries it in Canada and ships to the US for $15.45 plus $11.77 shipping. (might want to do a group buy) I'm in for 4 boxes, and I'll handle the order.

Hey guys,

I am the one who hooked up Ed with this stuff. It is really nice and its tenacious grip to glass is amazing.

I think you could easily mount rock to the back wall of a tank with if you supported it while it cured.

Anyway. Let me know if your interested. I might be able to show up with some at Ed's April 10 frag party.
