I find the trouble is that some sensitive animals like cephs when introduced into a new home can be weak and/or lethargic until they get used to the tank. some of the more dangerous pest critters. Like mantis shrimp, adapt fairly quickly and are ready to do some hunting. They can do some damage to a soft bodied critter (just look at pics what happens to peoples thumbs that meet up with one of those annoying crustaceans).
