type ot tank connector - pics inside - please help.

Hi Folks,

I posted this in the DIY forum - got 40 views and no answer :-(

Anyway, I ned to know which type of tank connector should I use for the drains in my overflow. I plan to have a durso stand pipe inside the overflow chamber, and then I will need to plumb from the underside of teh connector to the sump (obviously).

There are two types available to me. Pics below - type A and type B. Which is best?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks guys, I can put them no order now :-)

My next question - why type B, what is the difference, and what makes it more suitable for our purpose?

Cheers,

Matt

Mainly because A had parts that look like it would complicate an otherwise simple item:) Plus I couldn't tell if the nut on A was part of the sealing mechanism, which would add a weak point IMO.

Either way, both look substantially different that what we have here in the US:D

You might want to use B with threads that you can screw your Durso into just in case you need to remove it.
