what are the usual cause of browning?

i have a 30breeder frag tank some frags are browning out. some are ok.

alk 7.7
cal 400
mg 1300
p04 .03 per hannah
nitrates 0
sg 1.23
temp 78-79

t5 bulbs are about 7-8 months old

Not enough light.

Just being disturbed will brown some acros.

Not enough flow.

Pests.

Unstable Alk. You report 7.7KH, is that always the number?

Also check your salinity, 1.025 or 35ppt is preferred but I'm not sure if this is causing the browning. Can you post clear pictures of the problem?

I have been trying find out as well reason for browning out of my SPS , my lights is 2 kessil A360 with following setting for color and intensity . Plus 4 T5 bulb (2 aqua blue special and 2 purple plus).

Can anyone advise if my kessil setting is correct or need to adjust ?

There's a lot of factors here like your T5 bulbs and that your alkalinity might be low from how the birdsnest is receding, so if you make your own thread people can ask you relevant questions without cluttering up a different thread.
