Seeing a bunch of new growth and some red on it what colors should i be looking for on this type of coral it gets really fuzzy at night so i know thats also a good thing thanks again Leif. I end up staring at this little guy all day watching it grow lol

I have seen this coral with lots of different colors dependant on what type of conditions it is in. Flow, light and nutirents will all play a factor in its patterns.

Wow i just googled it and seen some where the tips had a purple color so i think thats what im starting to see man its a awesome looking coral

It is definitely a very cool coral. I have seen corals look different in different tanks, with different conditions, but this one seems to change so much from tankto tank. It will be interesting to revisit this thread in a few months and see how the same coral looks in everyones tank.

There should be 12 frags out there from this one colony. So everyone, keep this thread in mind in a few months and take some pics of what you got!! Keep thrack of where you have it placed in the tank, what kind of lights, flow, nutrients etc. and we can compare pieces.

Ok, to make this fun, who ever has the best coral in 3(three) months, which would make it March 8, I will give a free frag of something out of my tank at the time, to the person that has the best looking Ponape, from this list of who got frags.

We will all choose together who has the best growth, color, and over health of the coral.

Wow Yours is already showing color. Mine has gotton some good PE only but a sight hint of purple.

I thought that last picture was of my tank because I have an orange digatada that looks a lot like the coral in the background that I just broke a piece off just like yours.

Mine is starting to grow nicely. I will snap a before photo tonight. He's a pig, when I throw in my oyster eggs his polyps extend twice of the normal and his color is starting to come back.
