Well now I fully understand the meaning of labor day, the better half wants to paint the living room and my tank has to move. :headwalls:

Fun part is going to be it has to be moved arcoss the 20+ foot room because she wants it on the other side to free up a wall.

Keep your fingers crossed I don't blow my back out or crack the tank. :blown:

We've done it twice now.... it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck! If it wasn't busy painting all this weekend I would help you out. I just moved this 150g tank back in February. Will be moving it again in about four weeks. It does suck!! My good buddy jabo has volunteered to help though!

At least you have time to plan your move..4 days after I got my 90 all set up in the cedar cabin I bought here in Mississippi, I came home from work at 10:30 at night and found out the tank had gone through the floor. Seems the carpenter had shown me the wrong wall with support and I set it up between the supports instead of against them. To make it worse, I had no one to help me so I broke down the tank into tubs all over the house and the next morning, the den floor had to be completely ripped out and replaced along with the carpet...Since the house is on a wood foundation, we put enough support in this den to land airplanes and it won't move. through all that , I only lost one fish and no corals...you can do this especially with planning... and help

Don't feel bad I have to move my 125 in the next month too I just got this bad boy up about 2 months or so ago. But this move ain't across the room it's up the road to a new house I'm dread gthis one not sure if I should move it last or first not to mention what to do with rock and live stock this sucks. So believe ur not alone

have you ever tried those furniture slides? They are those plastic looking discs that you put under furniture and makes it easy to slide (so you don't have to pick it up). I have used them in the past and it worked like a charm. You can find them in all sizes at Lowe's or HD and fairly cheap.

Well all done but 1 wall left to paint and thats the one behind the tank. Break time my back is killing me.

We got some of them slides will give em a go later tonight after Chruch, plus I still got to drain enough water to lift each side to get the slides under. Oh well all goes well I should be fishing Monay........LOL

Oh I must be addicted to reefs I pick out the paint color "Oyster Shell" I will post a picture when the room is completed.

Well got the slides for hard surfaces, since the floor is concrete and it was a fail got the tank out about 3 to 4 feet and painted the wall. This bad boy is going back in to where it was before I destroy my back.

:debi:

I can lift it about an inch, never though about dowels under it. Hmm wheels are turning now ..... ouch now i got as headache LOL.

On a side note after I move it back or to another wall I am gonna change the lay out my clows and tang already hate me so its time for them to move.

Here it is after being put back
