Uh oh, missing Naso

I have (or, maybe I should say had) an 8" Blonde Naso in my tank. On Saturday night, I found him up against a power head. I put my hand in the tank and when I got close to him, he took off. He was eating and looking normal the next two days, but I couldn't find him last night, and he didn't come out to eat today.
I know he didn't jump ship, and I'm pretty sure he's dead.
That's a big carcass, and I don't have enough CUC to clean that up

If so, that's a thanksgiving feat for all of your CUC. They'll come out of the waterworks (woodworks) to feat.

btw sorry for the loss... I hate to lose any fish.

The ammonia spike is what has me worried right now. I will miss this fish, though :sad1:

If in tank you might see the other fish stay away from that one side

I only had him for about 6 years, doesn't seem like age, but who knows. Other fish look fine.

Sorry to read of the loss of your Blonde Naso Larry!

Blonde Naso are notorious for just up, and disappearing suddenly. They seem to be fine for sometime, and suddenly they are gone. My pair did the same. From what I have read not many people can keep them pass the 5 year mark.
I loved my pair; they were so charismatic. Always upfront, and center especially when I brought out the camera. My male had the best strimmers I'd seen.

As to the ammonia in your 220 gal with 200+ sump & fuge: I wouldn't give it much thought. Yes, definitely keep an eye on things, but I honestly do not believe you have much to worry about.
