Rommel is no longer running ultimate frags. Had some questions for him and got an email stating that he is no longer running it and has sold the business.

sucks- heard he was good to deal with and a good person.

Heard somewhere that it has been sold to ZOAFRAGS.. ( EBAY SeLLER )

I am sadden and shocked to learn the news, Rommel is great and easy person to deal with, as I remember he just set up a new frag tank with T5 last year.

I think "most" is kinda an over statement :lol: a few more outspoken ones have taken a break, but there's still plenty of us veterans out around the BA

Well, I know Rommel was spending more and more time with his frag business, so I guess it likely came down to a matter of priorities and as with others I can only speculate that his family won out

That's unfortunate, I just bought a whole bunch of zoa/paly frags from him 3 weeks ago. He was very generous with discounts and the number of polyp he included. I actually was going to order again but after seeing this thread I think I'm just going to wait a little longer to see how this pans out.

as of when was ultimatefrags sold? how did he "sell" it? Like he sold the company name and website? Or he sold all his prop tanks, mother colonies, etc.?

From what I read from club.zoa is that the guy plans to keep both entities separate.... He dosn't want to change the way rommel kept UF. and will keep operating zoafrags for ebay bidding. hopefully thats what happens and will be as generous as rommel was at giving extra tidbits in you orders ( from what I have read from other peopel )

haha i don't think rommel was just good for giving little freebees, he was just always a super nice and helpful guy, and cared about the hobby rather than totally focused on profit. But I know what you mean. Freebies are always fun.

I bought 2 polyps of each zoo, because I wanted to watch them grow out etc., and rommel would cut me one or two extra polyps =) great guy.
