Ultra Blue Crocea, Lavender Sponge, Blue Clove Polyps

Tanque Verde

So, I saved the best for the very last. This is my precious. She's been with me three years, I believe. I purchased her from Barry Neigut, when he was with Clams Direct. She is as bright and colorful as any specimen I've had in my tank

Ultra blue and green crocea, approximately 5". Covered on one side in lavender sponge. Mounted on a rock that has the diameter of a large cantaloupe and is partially covered in blue clove polyps.

This clam has thrived these past few years near the top of the tank under a 150w MH, You may need to adjust the height according to your wattage.

I'd prefer that this clam find its way into the tank of an experienced reefkeeper.

$115. No shipping.

Thanks for keeping me in mind Ben, Im in the process of setting up a smaller tank and my cube is going to another reefer here on RC. that has to be the nicest clam I have seen! stunning. if anyone is thinking about picking it up, do it!

Is the clam the only livestock left? Very very beautiful clam in person!!! Is your sand spoken for?

Is the sand you have, that super fine grade? I'll be setting up a sump soon, so any live sand really, would be useful :) There are enough caring and responsible reef keepers in Tucson, that I'm sure it will go to a very good home.

Not superfine. A few millimeters per grain up from that.

The sand sounds perfect; thanks for keeping me in mind! I'll talk to some people who aren't on RC, about the clam :)

A cup or so sounds perfect! A DSB in a fuge seems a little complicated for this newbie LOL. I would use my DT sand, but the bed is only 1/4" thick, and my damsel keeps making burrows! I didn't mean to hijack your thread here :).
