Call me weird but I find that part a bit appealing. Not that my livestock gets torched but that is pretty impressive that I even get a little nervous reaching around it. Lol

I'm well aware of their reputation, but to down a spine covered urchin blew my mind. I cannot imagine how the spines didn't shred its insides.

Yeah, I think the ingestion of spines without causing any harm is to itself is what is so amazing. Must have some seriously potent enzymes going on there. Sorry to here about the loss BTW.

Well on Saturday, a friend and I spent about an hour or so getting it off the bottom of the glass. Its foot was about the size of a grapefruit half on the bottom of the tank. They're not like BTAs, once you get part of the foot up they don't just pop off... It fought every step of the way.

A anyone ever have a haddoni eat a clownfish?

Here is my ocellaris after a run in with my haddoni. It would have been eaten if I weren't there to save it.

Here it is after a night of breathing hard and being unable to swim. It's color is better, and the excess slime is falling off.

Yeah, carpets can be monsters. About a week ago my gigantea ate one of my black ocellaris.
