Unexpected cleaner shrimp death

I came home from work today to find my cleaner shrimp dead, I've had him about 5 months and never showed and signs of illness. The only thing I can think of is I've been adjusting my kalk saturation and my tanks alk was 11.5 last weekend and now it's 9.

My current parameters.

Ph. 8.2
Amm 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 2-3ppm
Phos .04
Alk 9.0
Cal 420

I just did a water change last night but as always temp and salinity match.

Are you 100% sure the shrimp is dead? The first time mine molted I thought the same thing. I had a CB shrimp and when it molts, it molts EVERYTHING, even the antenna! I was broken hearted for a day until the shrimp came back out of hiding, which they do when they molt because their exoskeleton is still soft.

Yeah I'm sure. The shrimps molts are usually translucent and this one wasn't and was fleshy. I'll keep an eye out but I'm positive it's gone.

I accidently let my dosing pumps run for several hours and the pH, Alk & Ca got really high, but all my shrimp and crabs handled it well.
I found them to be sensitive to Salinity swings, but usually only when added to the tank and not slowly enough acclimated.

How about Iodine deficiency? They need that to mold.
