Okay, I have the unit all unpacked and im starting to hook it up. I put the 6 plug digital powerbar into the S1-S4 port, so now do I put the 4 plug bar for my lights into the S5-S8 outlet, or do I daisychain it off the digital bar unit ???

Please bear with my conplete NOOB-ness on this stuff, Im horrible with books and instructions... More of a show me once and I'll never forget it kinda guy. :D

Okay, if I plug the 4 outlet strip into S5-S8, the 5 and 6 outlet of the digital strip turn on and off with S5 and S6.....

I can set the digital bar to be outlets 9-14, and the 4 outlet strip for my lights to be S5-S8.... Is that right though ??? Then I lose S1-S4.....

Im going to try reading the manual some more to see if I can make anything out of this...

Firstly you cant daisy chain a 4 way analogue to a 6 way digital they are different beasts, you can daisy chain digital together and also digital and dosing pumps.

The digital goes ONLY into S1-4 and the analogue into S5-8

And what ever you do NEVER put a power socket into an L port or visa versa!!!!!

Yes you loose 1-4 but only virtually as the numbering just goes up infinately you are not loosing any functions just moving the start point number up by 4. so in effect 1 becomes 4

Made some progress...... I went out and bought a cabinet to hold the profilux and all my other misc. stuff...... I just have to finish staining the doors for it now.

Can't wait to get more in depth into this thing. :D :D

I am looking in the pump section for the control of my Tunzes, and in the "nocturnal decrease of current" section I can only get 2PM to 11PM as a start time, and 12AM to 10AM as an end time. I run my tank almost on a reverse cycle so the halides are on more towards the evening... It helps keep temps down and I also get to enjoy it more.

Am I doing something wrong with my settings, or are there any plans for an update where you can adjust the nocturnal settings for whatever lighting cycle your tank is on ???

Thanks.

I believe the lunar cycle is the same way

I guess they don't have a night shift in Germany ;)

You could always roll your clock forward (or back) 12 hrs

hey badazztealcobra,

out of curiosity what made you chose the Profilux over the RKE? I saw you where posting in there forum :c)

BTW you wont regret your move :c)

Just sick of waiting on them. There is NO way that a "cosmetic" flaw like they claim was the major hold up is taking this long. They couldn't tell anyone if they will be able to control a Tunze Stream, etc....

I know of quite a few people who just got sick of their answers and non-answers and have gone with a proven unit. I think the special pricing they ran on these Profilux'es were HUGE..... I always thought these controllers were out of my price range, but after all the RKE add-ons, I think I spent $75-100 more. Not much considering what we invest in our tanks, and look at the help and support we get with this unit. How could you go wrong. :D

No night shifts in Germany ?!?!? Im gonna move.

We really wish we could of carried on the special it brought in a huge number of new users to profilux at a time when money is on everyones minds.

But we have now launched two great entry kits which we hope favours most pockets as profIlux continues to gain big ground in the North American market. I think we really are the ones to beat now.

I promise I am always working hard to find ways to do similar offers from time to time.

night shift just started here.

ring ring - ProfiLux night shift help line how may I direct your call :)

Any chance of asking Matthias or the powers that be about allowing the nocturnal times to be adjusted during an entire 24 hour span instead of just traditional PM for us who work weird hours ???

I know it wouldnt be until another software or firmware release, but it would be a nice option and I would GUESS fairly basic, but I'm not a computer guy. :D
