Unknown Green Slime W/ Pics

ive had this little patch of green slime for a while and when i move the mag float by it its all stiff and wont move.
its on the sand bed?
what is it?
How do i get rid of it?

Hard to say with the picture, but it looks like cyano to me. But Cyano aren't stiff. Cyano can be controlled by 1) reduce feeding 2) increase flow 3) turning off the light for awhile. I had a cyano outbreak in my tank, and was never able to really control it with the three things above. I ended up using ChemiClean to clear it out. ChemiClean can have some side effects so do some research before using it.

well the slime is on the sand bed and its on the glass and i tried scraping it off but it takes a while to get it off
i have the chemi clean but i haven't used it.
ill do the research thanks
