Unofficial VORTECH is READY thread

Re: Unofficial VORTECH is READY thread

The manual was in the box with my WXM module. If I wasn't in class I would scan it for you. Hopefully someone else can hook you up.

Where are you guys finding the WXM Manual at? I didn't get anything in the box with mine, and I can't seem to find the document on the neptune website.

I will award 1 Internet to the first person who can give me a quick run through, or maybe type out some instructions quick lol.

Edit:

Emailed Curt as well to see if he had a .pdf of it he could email me.

Thanks so much!

You see I had this nice "1 Free Internet" Coupon picture to post for you.... then I read the fine print on the image and some of the words are against the UA lol.

Thanks a bunch though seriously. Now I have a reason to screw around with the tank till midnight..... again! :-p

Quick question I just noticed while I was checking on the tank from work.

When I look at the Main Status Screen on the Web Server it shows this:

Right_Vortec | Auto | PF1 | OK

Left_Vortech | Auto | PF2 | Missing

Last night Both pumps had "OK" next to them. Did I loose connection with 1 of my pumps or something?

Its possible, does it go back to OK when you refresh the page? how far apart are the devices? I made sure to mount everything right next to each other in a row, so if something was wrong i could immediately rule out the wireless.

I just checked again. The one pump is still coming up "Missing".

The one vortech controller that's coming up as "missing" is about 6' from the WXM.

I would def. move this closer. I was having issues with mine losing sync before i got the WXM. Echotech told me they were too far apart, they were 48" apart. Mount everything as close as possible.

Hmm....

Going to have to figure out a solution when I get home tonight.
Hopefully the control cable is long enough. I never had trouble with pump communication until I installed the module.

And just to confirm your suspicion, it is definitely periodically loosing contact with the Apex.... I just checked again and the pump was missing. Refreshed the page and the pump was found again.

I think the cable is 6+ feet. I ran the left side one across my tank to the other side. I have everything mounted within inches of each other. I dont trust wireless in general.

Mine are 9 feet apart with no issues......

However, it did take a few times to get them right and they never flashes "white/red"; instead they flashed "yellow/blue". But everything works and all pumps upgraded.

Does anyone know if these are ready to ship? I just ordered one, but nothing saying they are ready or back ordered.

i think everyone who pre-ordered already received them, myself included. it has been working really well, theyre just fixing some minor bugs in the beta firmware for the system
