up in smoke

My rio power head randomly fried out and started to smoke. It was only 3 months old.
fortunatly I had to waker up early this morning so I was around when it happened.
Unplugged it and pulled it out.... Hopefully it does not screw up my tank.
it's been a few hours and things look ok so far. plan on doing a water change later(waiting for a new batch of water) incase some toxins got mixed into the water.
Any one else have this happen???

I've seen so many people say this has happened to them.
Alot of people won't use anything that has the RIO name on it.
Once in a while someone will defend them and say they love em.
Must be a quality control issue IMO

Yet another Rio thread. Rio's are the worst powerheads known to man.

Get rid of all of them in your tank.. Throw them away pleease.
