Update on Aragacrete Video

Hi All,

I just wanted to update everyone on the progress of the video of the Aragacrete Demo. I had hoped by now to have something available online that people could download but ran into some technical problems that were unanticipated. Serves me right for trying to do something fancy (24p for all you film techies out there) with a new videocamera. The short of it is that I am upgrading my video software to accommodate the problem and hope to have something available in the coming weeks.

But no-one else. So who is the mysterious mike1962? We live down the street from each other (relatively) and while I know every house in town that glows blue at night, we've never met...

Hello Kevin,

Yep, my blue-night glow is situated near Douglas Jr. High. I started attending meetings in August and have been attending ever since. I tend to keep a low profile, especially being a relative newcomer which may be why we haven't yet met...Oh, I was selling tickets at the Swap with Bruce and Anne if that helps. Look forward to meeting another Woodlander Saltwater addict, I mean, enthusiast. PM me if you would like to come over and see my little 28g sometime.

In terms of videotaping Demonstrations, it was Aaron (Airinhere) who brought up the idea in a thread after the QT Demo. Since I had just purchased a prosumer level videocamera I thought it might be a good time to put the equipment to use and make MARS DEMO's available online. After a few PM's things were set. Now I just need to get the new software and get to work!

Look for the blue glow. If you knock, don't be shy, as long as you can reef-speak and ID as mike1962...

It won't happen for a bit as unfortunately I caught myself a nasty cold and have been locked in my house the last couple days with a full regiment of medicines that don't seem to do anything.

I reccomed NyQuil, if that dont work nothing will. Even if it does not work, you will be passed out anyway...win win. I look forward to the video as I missed the meeting. Should be good.

Went to the store today and saw actual people for the first time in 3 days...It's amazing what you have to do to get pseudophedrine based decongestant these days. I had to sign my name, write my address while the pharmacist had to write their name, license, store #, date and time!!

Thanks for the support all. I hope to be out of the woods on this thing in the next day or so.
