Update on ORA misbar

She was relocated into her forever home earlier in the week. She is in a pretty bare 29 gallon tank and is having fun rubbing her nose on the glass. I am having to add sand slowly as it is from another tank. These pics were taken right after she was placed into the tank out of quarantine.

On a side note, I am pairing her up with an onyx most likely. I have not made that decision as of yet. I would like to be absolutely positive that she is really a she before attempting a pairing.

The pictures for the most part do not show her true color. She is on a blend of my own food and is getting rather dark to my surprise.

Cute clown. A couple things. Not criticism, just suggestions.
You could do without the rock and could certainly use a smaller QT. a 10 gallon would do well. It's cheaper on the WCs and the meds if you need them. Personally I would just treat with formalin on GP.
As for putting them together, I would just do it. ocellaris and percula are pretty easy to pair. I just did three pairs tonight in about ten minutes. If they are both females, you will know in plenty of time.
Good luck with your new fishey!

She is no longer in quarantine. That is her tank. I utilize ten gallon tanks for quarantine practices. I will pair her eventually but I am in absolutely no rush. I have been looking for the perfect mate, but I am picky :) Also, I do treat with Formalin.

Very nice piece of misbar clown.

Just wondering whether the misbar stripe will be completely available as when the clownfish grows bigger or to an adult???

Anybody can share on this ?? Thanks.

She is already at about two inches in length so I doubt the stripe will ever connect.

Wet sleeves, no I do not have the onyx yet. I talked to Rod breifly, but I am not ready to pair her as of yet. I am not even positive that I want to pair her with an onyx yet, lol.

She is doing very well. Her color is coming in nicely but she has not grown any. She is still a bit on the skinny side for me. I am waiting for her to hit a growth spurt and become territorial before I get a mate. I do not think she is a she as of yet or else this is the most laid back fish I have ever had. I will see just how laid back she really is when she begins to host, lol.

what is the clownfish in your avatar? where did you get it? do you have any larger pictures of it?

Thanks

Amphiprion thiellei. Very rare. I doubt I will find another. It took me 11 years to find this one.
