Chad,
The demensions are 10 Deep by 11 7/8 high by 15 5/8 long. The back is painted black (by myself) and the front corners are curved. I got it from an LFS who has them made by a local guy for them. I got it up in Philadelphia, I will try to come up with some contact info if you want. I cost me $60 or less if I remember right.

Thank you! I forgot that it is now November and people might be stopping by to see what the thread of the month is all about this month.
Well here is a more recent photo:
It is a 2gal cube (8x8x8) with an auto-topoff, 70w mh, and chaeto fuge. And did I mention - no visible equipment?! I'm sorry if the details are buried in 14 pages of posts. Feel free to ask any questions that you have.

Thank you for the compliment. Fortunately I only have to share the office with 8 other people and they have all been briefed. Along with the cleaning staff. You brought up a good point, especially with the stomatopod in the tank. Even though they are usually incredibly hardy animals ("cockroach of the sea"), they are very sensitive to chemicals. The tank will eventually be moved to my house but right now I have three children under five years old...
so the tank is safer at work

And that is one of the nicest compliments I've received on these boards. I am really pleased with how the halide retrofit worked out. I started out with a 13w pc desklamp because I didn't want anything to "look DIY" or be out of place in an office. However, the lighting was the weak link in the whole system until I picked up the halide and managed to find a lamp that it would fit into. Most people who see the tank don't even realize that there is all of this specialized equipment working behind the scenes.

Great tank. I have never thought about a micro or pico before but you have me thinking now. My wife would probably approve but I have to finish the 24" cube first!!
Probably won't have it going for another couple of months. That'll give me time to plan out a little tank properly.
You have some great ideas. Thanks for sharing them and as far as any tank goes I like the look of yours more than any other.

I was wondering what your dosing regime is (if any)?
I have a similar sized tank (here) and was thinking about dosing Kalk etc, but fear the repercussions of one incorrect dose on such a small body of water.
I think this is one of the most imaginative and visually stunning setups I've seen in a long time (and I'm glad to see it's been done by a Canuck!)

The only thing that I use my dosing pump for is topping up freshwater. I do not dose kalk or any other suppliments for the very reason that you mentioned. Instead I do a two liter water change at the start of every work week with Tropic Marine salt. I have softies, LPS and SPS and I am getting good growth from all of them.
I checked out your link and think you have a great tank there! If I were you, I wouldn't risk it with dosing.

I was looking into doing a Glass Vase Nano for at work when I stumbled onto your thread here. I have been working on reading it for the last 2 days and I will tell you that this is one awesome job. I have abandoned my thrill of trying to do a Vase and decided I may try this route. I just think it might be much simpler. Plus there will be more room for things.

I also wanted to do this to the bottom of an acrylic goldfish bowl and have a chaeto cannister mod running an amazing reef inside. For contrast, I wanted to have a second bowl that I just put a goldfish in, multicolored gravel, and maybe a toy castle or treasure chest. I think the contrast between a conventional fish bowl and a modded fish bowl would be kind of surreal. Make sure you keep me posted.
