So it's been about 2 months now and everything is starting to come together. I'm still not quite satisfied with my rock work, thinking I may take out the center piece to add something with a little more height to make use of the vertical space in the tank.

Also just put together this handy dandy little fragrack using and air duct cover. 10 bucks worth of material and I still have enough to make a dozen more :)

and really what I mean by rock work is lack thereof :( I definitely don't want it to be too cluttered but I could use a little more in the middle.

Ya I know, the angle of the photo makes it look a lot lower but still I'd like to utilize more vertical space. Ideally I would like some rock 6" from the water surface, right now the highest point is about 13" down. Need a few more smaller pieces to build upward but I was considering switching out the middle piece entirely, it's a little too solid I would like something a little more porous and open.

Hey Justin,

Tank looks good. I like your hang in the tank frag rack. Your pics are really clear too. I agree with Grant on more rock. I used dry rock for the majority of my scape. It was nice because I got to build everything outside of the water and take my time to get a look I wanted.

What kind of fish are those?

I was thinking about just using some dry rock for that reason build a nice towering piece in the middle, the few pieces of live rock and the sand in there should be fine to keep things going. Those would be damsel fish, a Fiji Blue Devil and the yellow is a Talbot's Damsel I think not sure. Only 3.99 a piece though :D

Make sure you like these fish as they can be pretty mean and beat the crap out of any other fish you may want in the future and will prob start biting you when you stick your arm in the tank. :fun2:

Ya the little yellow one is very territorial of the rock on the far right, hides in it all day. And yes he already nips constantly at my hand whenever I'm in there. The little blue guy is much more mellow never nips or gets territorial. Yellow guy may have to come out at some point we'll see.

Definitely looking at putting some more rock in there just need to find a few more good pieces

Nice fish. I had an Azure damsel and I really liked him.

I have a few good pieces of dry rock if you're interested. approx 15lbs.

Nice I just may have you take ya up on that your in Napa if I recall? Still need to finish picking through my bros stuff, really is nice having someone your related to already be so deep into the hobby. Met up with his yesterday and he gave me 2 more little zoa frags, both hornets I think :)
