Just wanted to share update pictures of my 30 gallon! It's coming together nicely...It took a lot of work. Especially, caring it upstairs in my bedroom…The stand is made of Teak wood, which is really nice but very heavy…
Anyway, I mounted to caps, changed the pluming a little. Added, a great CUC includes hermits, snails, emerald crab and some hitchhikers.
The cost of everything wasn’t too bad. Even that I would like to spend less…I believe I am at $300 more or less…It could have cost a lot more, but friends family and local reefers helped me out…
I made a intake filter box out of plastic…It has a minijet 606 running to the outtake. The intake is at the top of the box. Inside I have floss, chaeto morpha and sometimes carbon…
The tank it’s self is a 30 gallon high that I purchase at Pet Co for $30…The stand was made for me by a friend in Brazil…He also made one for me for my 12 gallon nano cube which is for sale…
Live Rock came out of my 12 gallon nano cube of 4 ½ years…The rock really helped seed my tank…I never saw a cycle…I also got some Live Rock from some friends with their tanks set-up for over 3 years plus…
Corals and the cheato I got from a Local Reefer for only $40…He gave me xenia, huge rock of gps, a leather, and a bunch of pieces of capricornus that I mounted on some live rock tonight.
