Updated tank vid!

@Joypaws83 Been a while, how’s things going?
Sorry, I missed this message! I’ve been dealing with senior cat with a mass in her mouth so the past few months haven’t been so good. My main tank looks great besides the bubble algae. I’ve tried emerald crabs and they seem more interested in eating everything BUT bubble algae. This stuff is so frustrating so I would be embarrassed to take a pic of the tank right now lol I would love to borrow someone’s tang and give it back once it’s gone!!

Sorry to hear about the cat.

Interesting about the emerald crabs and bubble algae. I've found a combination of manual removal, nutrient management, and emeralds has eliminated bubble algae for me.

Thanks. I’ve been calling around to get an idea on how much end of life care would cost so it’s been emotionally draining. I can’t believe how much is costs to euthanize a pet that’s apart of your family. I’ve had her for 17 years.

I’ve tried manual removal but no matter what I do the stuff comes back, it’s so frustrating ☹️

Joy,
Sorry for the troubles.
When I had to make that decision I went to my regular vet & they did it for me.
They were very professional & understanding & I stayed right there until the end.
Probably your best bet.
As far as the tank, I've been using a Stainless straw to suck it out during a water change & it's better.
The only tang I know eats it is a Naso.

My vet unfortunately wants a ridiculous amount of money to euthanize her. I just went through this in 2020 with a cat that had oral lymphoma. I was in the room for the entire process. I did find a vet near me that was recommended and will most likely schedule an appointment after Christmas with them.

I’m at my wits end with this stuff, it’s so unsightly!
