upgrading to 292+ Starphire

Tonight I started taking down the canopy. Remove metal highlights and vho lighting .
Now the real work begins !

As you can see in the picture .
After I moved the tank from its location I will have to do some drywall repairs.
So this doesn’t happen again I will be installing 2 4 x 8 seats of PVC plastic behind the tank to prevent damage .

New update yesterday we lifted the tank onto the stand.
last two days have been plumbing out the returns and drains
hopefully tonight I'll be able to glue all the PVC up . More updates to come.

This looks identical to Mike's build. I have seen his in person and it is stunning. It appears you are taking a similar track. As for your questions about the Aqua Controller by Neptune, I love my AC Jr. I only wish I would have had the foresight to buy the AC 3 instead of making my impluse buy. O well.

Couple questions
1. What touch screen are you thinking of using and where will it be located? Ie will it be splash protected?
2. What cameras are you going to integrate with it and how? I am interested in doing this at my house.
3. Did you make a decision yet on the controllers? Here is a good link just in case you haven't seen it yet. http://www.aquariumcontrollers.com/

Thanks Chris. I definetly love the upgraded light rack/slides that are height adjustable.

I'm interested in what you do with the cameras. That's part of my plan also, but my knowledge in this area is limited.

Chris & Mike sorry haven’t been able to get to you guys regarded your questions. Just spent the last seven days removing my old tank and replace it with the new tank I would get up at eight o’clock in the morning I would go to bed about three or four in the morning
I will be using to infrared cameras made by swann one camera will be in light rack the other will be underneath stand the third camera is a wide-angle lens it will be positioned in front of the tank
All three cameras will be connected to the PC I build for this project circuitboard I am using is made by swann model is pc4 super DVR to net touchscreen monitor I will be using is nec accusyna lcd 52vm

I love the computing set up, but are you worried about corrosion with it being that near to the tank??
no not worry about the corrosion. because electronics I used is marine grade . plus the top will be Close . on each side will be using 4 inch fans to suck air into the top and 2 10 inch fans sucking air out through air ducts pump air to the outside
