How often you clean the glass and how you keep the glass so clean like that awmsome tank [emoji7]

I love this shot....however, it makes your tank appear smaller than it really is:

Lol agreed. It's beautiful and I know the tank is 72"x36" in actuality, but the pic is deceiving. If I didn't know and just had to guess, I would swear up and down at a glance that it's a 36"x18" 40b

I clean my glass every other day with a magnet cleaner. I clean the back panel (black side) once a week. I find the best way to keep the coraline at bay is to not allow it to start.

Bpb - Agree. I'll post a couple more FTS here in a bit, that may provide a better sense of size.

Here is a more traditional FTS than the one that I posted the last go round. I hope this photo shows a bit better scale of the tank.

Here is a FTS from the back side of the tank. While I call this the back, it's actually the first view you see when you walk in our house. For reference, the photo below is the left most area of this shot.

Here is a shot of the back left side of the aquarium. I just recently did some rescaping to this side of the tank. This arch, which is a bit difficult to see here adds a nice element to this side of the tank.

Here is a shot of the arch that was mentioned in the photo above. From left to right, we have the Rocky Mountain Corals Skull Cracker, Unknown Wild, ORA Scripps Green Tip Stag, Pro Corals Rainbow, ORA Hawkins and ORA Blue Voodoo Stag.

I've posted several FTS here lately but all are from a far. I thought it would be good to piece these 3 images into one so the scape and coral density could be seen more easily.

Thanks for Looking!

Brad,

I still have dreams of your tank after you were so gracious as to invite me into your home! Not just the tank but the aesthetics of how it fits/sits in the room and your [beautiful] home as a whole! I'm still amazed at the colonial growth and plating that you have. The colors! The variety! The clean stand! Etc!

But seriously guys Brad's kept a school of ~9 blue/green chromis intact without the typical whittling down to 1. Not to mention there's a few males with 1cm long streamers?! It's funny that is what struck me most!

In short Brad you've done something right, and I really appreciate the time you have taken to share that knowledge! Even checking back to see how it has worked for me. I'm thankful you're in my community (or I'm in yours).

Josh

Love that fts.
I always find taking ftss to be unsatisfying because of the lack of detail.
This certainly makes it better.
Beautiful as always!

First of all.... Amazing tank and amazing photography skills! Makes me wish I were ready to settle down and buy a house... Just to set up a large reef!

Anyways, I did a quick read over this thread and haven't seen your ATO setup. Any chance you have a picture of it?

Is very cool and unique, like a melted puddle of reef:)
I love that last corals also, it's very Pearl-berry like

Josh,
Of all the nice things that have been posted, this might be the nicest. Thanks for taking the time to visit and then post to my journal.
The comments are much appreciated.

I agree with your FTS comment. Everyone always asks for one but they are never very satisfying.

Amazing tank!!!!!

I don't have any pics but I will get some and post soon. I use a series of switches from spectrapure to start and stop the water making process. I use a spectrapure UPLLC to control flow from my reservoir to the tank. I love the spectrapure products. They always work as advertised.

Ooooh I like the "skull cracker" a lot! That Tazardi Acro- how long have you had it? I'm thinking it looks similar to a coral I have shape wise.

I love your updates - you have some of the best pics around and the subject is one of the best tanks on the board, so keep them coming!:)

The skull cracker is sweet, if you get a chance look at the mother colony on Rocky Mountain Coral's web page. I have their transistor as well but it's just encrusted thus far.

I've had the Tazardi for about 6 months. It came from a local reefer and it grows really fast. Other than Slimer it's the fastest growing coral I have. Because it grows so fast, there is a lot of it around my area.

Thanks for the views and comments.

Urbanek, I might have missed it but what type of fan do you have on your tank. I am currently upgrading tanks and want a fan in my open top canopy and am trying to figure out what to use. So what type of fan do u have and are you happy with it? Noise issues? Air flow?

Awesome tank!!

zoobie88 - Thanks so much!

reefanatik - I just run one of the SeaSide Aquatics Fans that has 4 individual fans in it. You can hear it running but it's not very loud. It does the job, that's about all I can really say about it. Nothing special but I also did not spend much on it. It's been on two tanks and continues to run so I guess that is a big plus.
