So I woke up this morning to my bubble tip looking like this (picture attached). And I have no clue whats wrong. Only half of the oral disk area looks like that.. I'm really confused, I googled it and could find anything like this at all. I got this sucker on Saturday so i haven't fed him yet...and my water params are all where they should be.

SG; 1.023
Alk;9dkh
Mag;1250
Cal;350
Nitrite; 0ppm
Nitrate;0ppm
Ammonia;0ppm
Temp; 77degrees
PH;8.2

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks!!

Hmm. Ok. I was more concerned about all the stringy looking stuff thats on the lower left hand corner of the nem...It looks like its guts or something are hanging out? Should I try feeding it?

where did you get it from and was it in the same place its always been?

I got it from my LFS, really good place to shop, this is the first "thing" I have bought from them thats been "bad" etc. It has never moved from where I placed it. Is it possible that it is splitting?

It looks like its rotting, the stuff you see is the insides of the anemone.

Is it the mouth or outside of the mouth, something is wrong with the anemone.

Hmm. Ok then. Thats weird. The mouth it like half in and half out? Would you say its a goner at this point?

Is there a tear or can you still see the complete mouth opening?

Something inside the anemone is bothering it, did they say what they fed it if they did feed it?

It looks a little bit like a tear..

They fed it frozen krill that they thawed. This hem os one they had had for a about a week or so (I have a good customer relationship with the manager). He recommend that I don't feed it for a week or so after adding it to my tank as they had just fed it earlier that day and to give it time to adjust etc.

did it have any sign of that when you bought it?

I would contact the store and send them pictures. If they mouth was still complete i would say its just adjusting but if there is a tear it got damaged some how.

What other fish do u have and inverts?

It didn't have any sign of that at all when I bought it. I bought this one cause it was the healthiest looking nem there..b

Ok, I will try and swing by the store later with the pictures I have taken so far.

Fish and invert wise I have a handful of snails and a few hermits cards, 2 clowns, a mandarin and a fire fish.

i would speak to the store, from the pictures if there is no tear it could be acclimating but if there is a tear something is not right.

If you've only had it since Saturday then don't feed it. Let it acclimate. It could be splitting from the move. I'd leave it alone and see what it does. When I first got my RBTA it did this and I was sure it was a goner but it bounced back. Not a guarantee but it could.
