I have to let him know by 8:00 am tomorrow morning,
So, any final thoughts before I make a decision?

Its one hell of a deal.. But don't forget to add in cost of tolls & milage in looking at the actual pricet ag.

but you figure at that price- its pretty much a good deal regardless.

Pictures of the tank were dark, so it is hard to say.
Side of stand had two large fan holes drilled into it.
Light fixture had the issues as described in the sale thread and also appeared to need a hanging kit.

I am waiting to hear back on a couple of questions that I had.

Assuming this happens,
Anyone familiar with Brooklyn?
Any volunteers for a weekend roadtrip? What weekend are you available?

can't do it this weekend - not familiar with brooklyn - but if i am free (For example next weekend as long as its not friday), I am happy to go.

As for hte fan holes in the stand - just put fans in them!

Wow, This group is great!
Dave offered his truck and to accompany me to Brooklyn to pick up the tank. Robinson also offered to go on a Road trip and can expect a PM.
One minor issue is that Daves truck has a 5' bed and the tank is a 6'. Since Dave told me that he had a trailer hitch I have been checking online for Trailer rentals . The cheapest that I seem to be able to find a 4x8 Uhaul trailer for is $125.00 plus tax.
Just thought that I would check with you guys to see if anybody knew of any discount codes, cheaper alternatives etc. Would hate to find out later that I could have saved some money if I had only asked.
Thank you

Hmmm...there is a place on the way to Glen Aubry (off 26 somewhere), but I can't remember the name. Our friend used them to move (they rented a large trailer and it was very affordable).

If I remember the name I'll let ya know...but you may want to search for it too...

Worse comes to worse..Just put the tail gate down and strap the tank in with some straps.
Place some blue styrofoam board on the end of the tank to protect it from the metal winch part of the straps . You should be good

That is the way fordguy1992 and I got my tank back from geneva last month. we put the tailgate down then put a board the size of the tank down(about 3/4" thick) then put the tank ontop of that. We ratchet strapped it in then enjoyed the ride home with no worries. Good luck with the road trip.

Jeremy

I don't see why their idea won't work! and a piece of styrofoam is far cheaper than renting a trailer..

Still waiting on that pm ;)
