you running the 250s or the 400s?

i run 400s... and i have run them on hqi and on regular mag and they both look the same to me (although the regular has more ppfd than the hqi which is totally opposite of what you'd think)

they look the same on regular as on hqi to me

you sure you wiring and circuitry is carrying the load ok.... i had to rewire my lighting... when the clothes dryer ran.. one of the bulbs would go yellow.. then back white with the dryer off.... changed up the wiring and fixed that.... that would be my only shot in the dark answer for your yellow problem.... that or you have been looking at 20ks for 10yrs and 14days of evc10k is gonna look yellow regardless


or... your water is dirty, but that would be obvious to you.

I think ,i've been running 20k bulbs for long itme..My friend who runs only 10k ,keep telling me that color is good)

Good luck finding an aquaconnect bulb. I've searched all the the US and everyone who did sell them, has stopped. They all point to the company being very difficult to work with.

Yes. Do you know who it is? Aquarists or however you spell it said they stopped selling their bulbs. I just bought all my replacement bulbs but would definetly buy them the next roung.

whos got the best price on the ushios 14k 400 MH SE? i will give them a try... i will be running them on pfo HQI ballast...

will supplment with vho attininics and 50/50

Be sure when you order, that you don't order the CWA version. That one's built for low current ballasts.

PA .. says it the german made... how can i tell if it is the CWA? 79.95 a bulb is not a bad price... the AB was costing me 100.00

but then again is it as nice as the AB 13k ?

I would call just to be sure. When the have them in, Custom Aquatic lists the model #, where you'd find the CWA. I had to call Marine Depot to make sure, when I placed my order.
