Velvet nudi or mandarin?

I have a pretty huge flatworm infestation & prefer not to go the chemical route. Suctioning is not going to be a long term solution. I am thinking about ordering a velvet nudi. Any thoughts on this? It's a closed loop system that would be very very difficult to get into the sump (where the pumps are). 2 nd choice seems to be mandarins but I am seeing conflicting info about which kind exactly would be best. My first choice though is the velvet nudi because I love fancy slugs.

Springeri/Springer's Damsels have done very well eating red planaria flatworms for me. Sixline Wrasses may eat them as well but they can be jerks and hard to catch if you want them out afterward. Can't speak to the nudi as I haven't tried one but my first recommendation would be the Springers

;) Trying to avoid aggressive fish. Are they really that peaceful? I have a hard time associating that word & damsel.

I've had three Springer's and they have all been very peaceful. I've never seen a Springer's chase another fish. Experiences might be different but I believe they are generally very calm.

A single springeri damsel has kept the red planeria flatworms in check in my 25 gallon tank. I'll see 1 or 2 here and there, but not as bad as they were before I got the damsel. It has been a great fish, not agressive or territorial. I was able to add a couple baby clowns with no problem and the clowns are just a bit smaller than the damsel.

I have been battling a flatworm problem for awhile. Have tried siphoning and flatworm exit. I have had a Springer's Damsel, but that hasn't done much. I have been pondering getting velvet nudis...

I have tried velvet nudis and my experience has been that yes they eat them but they tend to just disappear after a while and the flatworms are still there. I ultimately went the flatworm exit route.

I would give you an answer. ... but... im still ****ed that I drove all the way to phx to get something from you and you didn't answer you're phone. And never had the the nerve to call me back. ..... my rant is over.

 I really don't know what you are referring to. I only rarely have anything available, whatever is available is usually for free and I am always very clear about just exactly when I am available due to my very unusual schedule.
The only time I remember having a problem was when I thought that I had a chalice to trade but that wasn't what it was. I am still embarrassed about the incident & plan on actually getting a nice chalice to that person at some point in time for his trouble of coming over for the wrong thing.
I can be pretty good at torquing people off but normally remember the incident and why.
I also can't recall ever having anything available that would be worth much of a drive to pick up.

Thanks for the info everyone. I think I will try the velvet nudi & if it doesn't work out go for a Springeri.
